Haqq
Started by four college students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Haqq celebrates the region's Muslim community by highlighting businesses and addressing political issues, aiming to inspire and unite. Initiated to express what we felt is important to the local population, it serves as a voice for advocacy and cultural pride, navigating modern challenges to foster a vibrant, informed community. Our goal is to provide the truth and only the truth.
Our Mission
At Haqq, we embark on a vibrant journey to illuminate the diverse tapestry of the Muslim community in North Carolina, crafting a narrative that resonates, empowers, and unites. By spotlighting Muslim-owned businesses, we celebrate our cultural heritage and encourage a spirit of support and discovery, curating stories that showcase the flavors, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit thriving within. We are also deeply committed to giving a voice to our community on political matters, delving into policies and legal frameworks to highlight issues of importance, aiming to inform, inspire, and mobilize. Our coverage fosters a well-informed community ready to advocate for its rights and values, navigating the complexities of the modern world while staying true to our roots. Haqq is more than an editorial; it's a movement towards a cohesive, informed, and vibrant Muslim community.
